Hand-peeled cedar logs, replete with an array of natural knots, bring a charming personality to this rustic home bar. There is a lower top surface for prepping and mixing, and another slightly higher and bar-long (7.5 feet) top surface for serving. A wide drawer and two doors below it provide for storage of bottles, glasses and other barkeep essentials. There is a fixed shelf in the cabinet. Adjacent to that is a rack ready for your selection of wine bottles. The refrigerator space can be built into the right or left side - you need only specify your choice. A cedar log footrest runs the length of the guest side. Choose between a liquid glass finish and an armor finish, both remarkably durable. The cedar pulls agree with this striking piece. We use full-extension, ball bearing glides rated at a stout 100 pounds in the soft-close drawer, which employs dovetail joints proven for centuries to be a durable technique. The door hinges are concealed Euro-style to help give the piece a clean profile.
Northern white cedar is extremely light and quite soft but nonetheless boasts excellent decay resistance and strength. The inner heartwood is a pale brown or tan while the narrow, outside sapwood is nearly white, often becoming more golden with age and sun exposure. All of our handcrafted pieces come with a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturer defects. Sourced and made in the USA.
