Large Nautical Metal Wall Clock - Engine Room Telegraph

RAS-HE17T428Z

Inspired by historical ships and submarines, the face of this analog nautical metal wall clock depicts an Engine Order Telegraph dial found both on a ship's bridge and in its engine room. Before the 1950s, EOTs required the captain to "ring" a telegraph from the bridge. The ring was heard in the engine room, where it alerted engineers to a pending order. Upon receiving the signal, the engineers would move their dial to the same position to acknowledge the order. They then performed the tasks needed to power and steer the ship accordingly. Uses one AA battery (not included).

Dimensions (inches): 18W x 3D x 18H.
