Engine Room Telegraph - Nautical - Large Metal Wall Clock

Inspired by historical ships and submarines, the face of this large, nautical metal wall clock depicts an Engine Order Telegraph (E.O.T.) signal dial for a ship's engine room. Before the 1950s, E.O.T.s required the captain to "ring" a telegraph on the bridge, moving the handle to a different position on the dial. This ring was heard in the engine room, where it alerted engineers. Upon receiving the signal, the engineers would acknowledge the order by moving their handle to the same position, powering the engine accordingly.  AA batteries not included.

18" diameter
