The cast aluminum body and the brass bezel are taken from a control panel component on an early American gunboat. Following the maritime inspiration, we made a pendulum from out of a ship’s anchor that was used as decoration on a plaque commemorating the maiden voyage of a steamship. The First Mate is just the right size to tuck into your boat’s cabin or any small space in the home.
